1912 The Stant Machine Company is incorporated.
1927 Stant designs the flying quail ornament for the first Ford Model A.
1935 Stant produces many famous hood ornaments for classic cars like the Lincoln, Packard, Pierce Arrow and Auburn.
1960 Stant invented the Lev-R-Vent safety pressure cap.
1970 Emission control caps introduced to comply with environmental laws.
1973 Arab oil embargo creates exploding demand for locking gas caps.
1987 Stant Inc. Pre-Vent fuel caps are introduced.
1991 Stant Corporation acquires Epicor Industries. Stant pioneers advanced ORVR technology for fuel systems.
1993 Stant SuperStat introduced, the first heavy-duty thermostat for cars.
1996 Stant achieves ISO/TS 16949.
1998 Stant vapor management valves introduced.
2002 Stant achieves ISO/TX 16949.
2006 Stant opens plant in Suzhou, China. Stant introduces the InStant Fill fuel cap and begins charcoal canister production.
2010 Stant acquires Expert Corp. in Romeoville, IL, a Tier 1 supplier of vapor and fluid control products, evaporative emission canisters, and front-end carriers.
2010 Stant acquires Shelby Corp. in Romeo, MI a leading supplier of filler pipe and vapor line products.
2012 Stant acquires a majority interest in Pyongsan-FT, renamed Stant Korea Corporation.
2013 Stant introduced their plastic filler pipe innovation to the world via the ITB Show in Novi, Michigan.
2014 Stant introduced and was awarded their capless refueling unit. In addition, Stant adds DEF (Diesel Exhaust Fluid) Caps to their Aftermarket line.
