An estimated 500 people attended Stant Family and Friends Day on Saturday, October 5 on the Stant Connersville campus. The event, which was open to friends and family of all current and former Stant associates, had activities for all ages to enjoy.
Tours were given of the Connersville manufacturing building, Machine Development building, and Technology Center. A special presentation also highlighted Stant’s rich history and an overview of current Stant products. Reidman Motors provided a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee and 2013 Dodge Dart for display, both of which contain multiple Stant products.
Attendees enjoyed a corn hole toss competition, free photo booth, food, music, performance by the CHS Spartanettes dance team, a car show, and live singing performances. Children enjoyed the kids’ tent which featured coloring, Legos, and other activities. Nearly 50 door prizes were given away, including a 55” Smart TV, a custom Corn Hole set, a pontoon boat rental at Quakertown, Colts tickets, a Kindle fire, Stant toy trucks, and gift cards.
"Stant Family and Friends Day was a resounding success this year," said Donna Templeton, event coordinator. "The event was held in honor and appreciation of our associates' dedication and determination in helping to achieve our vision, so we were delighted by the sheer number of associates who brought their families and friends to enjoy the day."
A total of 34 vehicles were in attendance for the car show. Voted Top 5 People’s Choice were: Dale & Connie Smith, 1964 Ford Galaxie; Mark Orschell, 2007 Shelby Mustang; Shawn Caudill, 1954 Chevrolet truck; Marshall Miller; 1951 Studebaker; and Garry Lanning, 1965 Ford Mustang. People’s Choice motorcycle went to Ryan Griffey with his 1971 Harley Davidson. Curt S. Howell, Stant President & CEO, presented the President’s Choice Award for Stant Associates to Michael Caudill for his 1966 Chevrolet Truck.
