Stant’s annual Stant-a-Claus event was held on Tuesday, December 9 at the Miller Building in Roberts Park from 5:30-7:30 pm. The program, funded through donations from Stant associates and staffed by Stant volunteers, helps underprivileged children in the community by providing a meal catered by Southern Style Family Dining, the opportunity to visit with Santa, two books, and a special gift tailored to each child’s wishes.
This year, Stant received increased support from its associates and UAW union and was able to benefit 125 children total, 25 more children than last year. In addition, Stant purchased each child a warm coat with the support of Connersville Wal-Mart. 3B generously donated batteries for the children’s toys. A photo booth was also on-site, giving the families the opportunity to capture a photo keepsake to take home.
“We are deeply gratified by the impact Stant-a-Claus makes in the lives of the families who attend the event. We are especially proud that the entire evening is funded through the generosity of our associates, which is really quite remarkable,” said Christi Gamble, Stant-a-Claus organizer. “As a Connersville business, we recognize the importance of being a community steward and giving back in meaningful ways throughout the year. It’s especially rewarding to see children’s faces light up at this particular event. It’s satisfying for our Stant volunteers to see the direct result of their contributions and the positive difference made in the lives of the children and families who attend.”
