1944 – Stant earned armed forces “E” award for the production of
            50-caliber machine gun shell casings.

1935 – Stant produced many famous hood ornaments for classic cars
            like the Lincoln, Packard, Pierce Arrow and Auburn.

1927 – Stant designed the flying quail ornament for the first Ford Model A.

1926 – The Stant Machine Company moves to Columbia Avenue,                               Connersville, Indiana.

1921 – Stant developed lock for Moto-Meter temperature gauge on                            automotive radiators.

1915 – Stant becomes world’s largest producer of piano tuning pins.

1912 – The Stant Machine Company is incorporated.

1898 – Stant is founded at 329 Western Avenue, Connersville, Indiana.

Innovation, Environmental Change and Entry into Aftermarket

1977 – Complete heater cores are added to the Aftermarket line.

1973 – Arab oil embargo creates exploding demand for locking gas caps.

1970 – Emission control caps introduced to comply with environmental laws.

1965 – Stant Manufacturing is purchased by the Purolator Products Company.

1962 – Stant added thermostat line to Aftermarket line.

1960 – Stant invented the Lev-R-Vent safety pressure cap.

Innovation, Acquisition Growth and Quality Recognition

1998 – Stant vapor management valves introduced.

1997 – Stant Corporation acquired by Tomkins PLC.

1996 – Stant achieves ISO/TS 16949

1994 – Stant Corporation acquires Fedco Automotive Components
            and Trico Wipers

1993 – Stant SuperStat introduced, the first heavy-duty thermostat for cars.

1991 – Stant Corporation acquires Epicor Industries. Stant pioneers                          advanced ORVR technology for fuel systems.

1988 – Stant Inc. buys Standard Thomson. Stant Corporation is formed.

1987 – Stant Inc. is purchased from Emory Air Freight in management
            led leverage buyout. Stant Pre-Vent fuel caps are introduced.

1981 – The Stant Pine Bluff Arkansas plant opens.

1999 - Now

Innovation, Organic Growth and Global Expansion

2012 – Stant acquires a majority interest in Pyongsan-FT, renamed
            Stant Korea Corporation.

2010 – Stant acquires Shelby Corp. in Romeo, MI a leading supplier
            of filler pipe and vapor line products.

2010 – Stant acquires Expert Corp. in Romeoville, IL, a Tier 1 supplier
            of vapor and fluid control products, evaporative emission canisters,
            and front-end carriers.

2008 – HIG Capital LLC acquires stant from Tomkins PLC.

2006 – Stant opens plant in Suzhou, China and Stant introduces the
            InStant Fill fuel cap and begins charcoal canister production.

2005 – Stant opens plant in Karvina, Czech Republic.

2002 – Stant achieves ISO/TX16949.
